About ResetDog
ResetDog answers one question: “My Codex quota is gone — what do I use to keep working right now?” It is a decision helper, not a prediction site: the dog does not guess when resets happen; it helps you grab the next baton.
The directory only lists tools whose facts could be traced to official pages (pricing, docs, privacy policy), each with a last-checked date and a verification status. “Conditional” and “unknown” are displayed honestly instead of being rounded up to a green check.
ResetDog is part of a small family with ResetCat (resetcat.cc): the cat watches for resets, the dog finds your next tool. The two projects are fully independent — separate code, deploys, and data.
Built as a static site (Astro + React). No accounts, no server-side storage, no affiliate links at launch.
How it is built
Astro 5 + React islands + TypeScript, deployed as a static site on Cloudflare Pages. Matching, handoff generation, and storage are plain TypeScript modules with unit tests.
How ResetDog picks tools
Not a leaderboard. Five things, in this order:
-
Task fit
Whether the tool can actually do what you are trying to continue.
-
Real capabilities
Read project, edit files, run commands, images, long runs — stated honestly, “unknown” never counts as support.
-
Price & quota source
Where the usage comes from: your existing plan, a free tier, or extra payment.
-
Main limitations
The catches, written out before you commit.
-
Sources & disclosure
Official pages with check dates; if a referral link ever appears, it is labeled next to the link — and never changes ranking.
